TASK 6
SPEAKING
a) Read through the questions below and check you understand all of the
vocabulary.
1) What does the planet look like?
2) What makes it different from Earth?
3) How did you get to the new planet?
4) Who else is with you and what do you think of them?
5) How did you feel when you first stepped onto the new planet?
6) What do you want to say to your friends and family at home? FAMOUS STORIES
7) What is your first task on the new planet?
b) The questions are all about a story called The New Planet, but the details of the
story have to be invented by you! Work with a partner and invent the details of
the story. Don’t write down any of your details at this point.
c) Now swap partners and retell the story you have invented. Ask each other for
further explanation or more information if you can.
TASK 7
WRITING
a) Write your story using the ideas from your own answers and any further ideas
you gathered from your discussions.
Be as creative as possible and try to use detailed descriptions to enhance your
story. Write between 200-250 words.
Remember to check your spelling, punctuation and grammar for mistakes at the
end.
