a) Look back at the texts in Task 1 and underline examples of the definite article
(the) and the indefinite article (a / an).

b) Look at the examples you found, what type of word comes after them? Now
find examples where there is no article.

c) Complete the sentences with a / an, the or no article (-). THE BIG EVENT

d) Work with a partner to discuss the sentences below. Find one mistake in each
sentence and write the corrections.

3) I’m really thirsty, can I have the glass of water please?
4) My parents have just bought the beautiful apartment in Spain.
5) I’m not cooking the meat because Ben is a vegetarian.

e) Make two sentences using the words below and tell your partner. Make one
sentence using the definite article (the) and one with no article.
