Part of speech Meaning
Noun (n) Describes a verb.
Verb (v) An action or doing word.
Adjective (adj.) Links a noun to another word.
Adverb (adv.) A person, place, thing or idea.
Pronoun (p) Joins words, clauses and sentences.
Preposition (prep.) Describes a noun.
Conjunction (con.) Takes the place of a noun.
