serious in pairs then feedback ideas as a class. Ensure that

Time 40 mins
Introduce the ideas of other regrets. For stronger students
elicit further examples. Explain they are going to do a piece
of writing which should take about 30 minutes that they will
then share with a partner so they need to write as clearly as

possible. Give students time to write their stories and check it
themselves against the criteria. Then ask students to share
and ‘peer correct’ their partner’s text making notes to give
back to them. Some students find this a difficult process.
Monitor and prompt where necessary. For stronger students
Assessment you could give them marking criteria and ask them to give a
score to the writing.
At the end of the lesson ask students what the lesson has
covered and write this on the board.
