perfect is not used a lot. It is used to emphasise the
sequence of events or to give more detail to a story by
Teaching Tips explaining what happened before another action. Again for
weaker students give further examples or refer back to the
text. (Did she read the guide book before or after going to
Greece? Etc.)
Give students time to complete the task and then feedback
as a class. For weaker students it is a good idea to do this
Assessment stage together and use timelines on the board to show the
order of events.
