For weaker students it might be useful to play the audio again
before doing task c. As students give feedback, monitor the
correct use of tense in their speaking. You can also ask further
checking questions to stronger classes (e.g. Did Nathan meet his
friend when they were 16? No, he didn’t)

I’ve got quite a few really good friends, but I guess my best friend
is Craig. We met each other on the first day of university and
became friends straight away. We always have fun together and
both love sport so I guess that’s why we get on well. He’s living in
China at the moment so I don’t see him a lot, but when he’s back
in England we always meet up and it’s just like university again!
