P. 7

My best friend is Sophie Taylor. I can tell her anything and she’s
always the person I call first if I have a problem or need someone
to talk to. I have known her all of my life, probably since I was born!
Her family lived next door and we played together as we were
growing up. She is really good at listening and has the best advice
when I’m feeling stressed. We are both married now and don’t live
next door to each other, but we still usually meet on the weekend
for a cup of coffee and a chat.

                                              Nathan
It’s going to sound silly, but my best friend is my wife! We’ve
been married for nearly 50 years now and I’m still not bored
of her company. We are so comfortable together and still
manage to make each other laugh after all these years. We
first met when I was 15 and working at the local shop, she
came in to buy some bread if I remember correctly and the
                                              rest was history.

Ensure the class understand the role of a journalist. Give them
time to think about and make notes of the questions they need to
ask. This is an important stage for the task and may take some

                                              B.
This task aims to review tenses and question forms. Tell the

information and NOT just read the text and copy. Tell students
not to look at each other’s texts.
